Our Mission.
GA.law exists to bring clarity, transparency, and truth to Georgia’s family law system. Too often, Georgians face divorce, custody, child support, and protective order cases with little understanding of how the courts actually work. The laws may be written down, but the real-world application often feels hidden, complicated, and inconsistent from one courtroom to another.
Our mission is to change that by providing simple, reliable explanations in plain language. Through videos, guides, and resources, GA.law breaks down family law so that every Georgian — whether they have a lawyer or not — can understand the rules, the process, and their rights. By shining a light on the system, we aim to reduce confusion, hold institutions accountable, and empower families to make informed decisions during some of life’s most difficult transitions.
Who We Are.
GA.law was founded by Homer P. Jordan IV, an attorney with nearly a decade of experience practicing family law in Georgia. Before becoming a lawyer, Homer spent 12 years as a financial analyst at Lockheed Martin, conducting over 400 audits and investigations. With that investigative background and legal experience, GA.law was built to challenge confusion and expose where the system fails the people it serves.
What We Do.
Through videos, resources, and written guides, GA.law answers the questions Georgians ask most about family law: divorce, custody, child support, alimony, property division, protective orders, and more. Every resource is designed to be free, accessible, and easy to understand — because knowledge shouldn’t be hidden behind paywalls or legal jargon.
Why It Matters.

When people enter the court system, they often feel overwhelmed and unprepared, unsure of their rights or what to expect.
